How long does it take?
The plan is 14 days from the call to the switch. Nathan is logging the hours on the first two conversions and publishing them on this page, whatever they say.
What if it runs late?
You'll hear the day it slips, and why, from Nathan. The price doesn't change.
What happens to my domain and email?
Nothing. Your domain stays registered where it is, in your name. Email isn't touched. On switch day only the website's DNS record changes.
Can my nephew still edit it?
Yes, and it's harder for him to break. Layouts are locked, edits land as drafts with a preview, and nothing publishes until someone says so. If he knows Laravel, he can work on the code too.
What if I want to leave?
Leave. The license, the code, the domain and the repo are in your name from day one. Cancel Keep and nothing goes offline. Any Laravel developer can pick it up.
